Pirin defeated Botev (Vratsa) as a guest with 3:0 in a match of the 24th round of the First League and moved to 10th place in the standings.
The Eagles recorded their seventh consecutive championship game without a loss, registering a second victory as guests since the beginning of the season. Pirin recorded its second consecutive game without conceding a goal and the third in total this season.
Preslav Yordanov opened the scoring in the 33rd minute from a penalty, and only four later Spas Georgiev doubled the lead of our team. Stanislav Manolev also recorded his name among the goal scorers with a great goal in the second half.
The Eagles showed a higher class than their rival and deservedly congratulated themselves with the three points today.
In the fourth minute the hosts were close to scoring. Anton Fasse shoots from a small angle, but the ball met the right side post of the door, guarded by Yanko Georgiev.
Gradually “eaglets” took the initiative and kept the ball longer, but they never managed to create anything more dangerous for Krassimir Kostov.
Shortly after half an hour of playing in the stadium “Hristo Botev” the game was stopped for a handball by Diego Ferrareso in his own penalty area. The Chief Judge reviewed the VAR situation, then point to the white dot.
Preslav Yordanov took over the performance and sent a guard to Vratsa in the opposite corner – 0:1.
In the 37th minute Stilian Nikolov fired a long shot, which hindered Kostov, and Spas Georgiev was lurking near the door and doubled his team's lead up close.
A little later, Preslav Yordanov had the opportunity to kill the intrigue in the match, after receiving a perfect pass in the penalty area, but shoots over the crossbar.
In the 49th minute Krassimir Stanoev tried to surprise Kostov from a distance, but the guard of “greens” he was careful and saved.
In the counterattack in front of Botev was a great opportunity to return to the match. Mohamed Bentahar, which appeared from the bench, was left uncovered in the goal area, but failed to overcome Yanko Georgiev.
The home pressure continued and in the 52nd minute Petar Zanev sent the ball into the crossbar of his own goal in an attempt to clear it, and in addition Bentahar shoots high above the target.
In the 58th minute Stanislav Manolev scored a very beautiful goal from a long distance. The experienced football player of Pirin fired a cannon shot outside the penalty area, which flew into the upper right corner of the door of Vratsa – 0:3.
The pace of the game dropped as expected, as Daniel Morales's players looked for an honorable goal in the last minutes. However, this did not fall and the result remained unchanged.
