With a goal by Stanislav Manolev in the 92nd minute Pirin reached 1:1 against CSKA – Sofia in a match of the 18th round of the First League, played in a stadium “Hristo Botev” in Blagoevgrad. Before that, Carlo Muhar opened the score for the guests.
Pirin's team was led by the coaching duo Radoslav Mitrevski – Petar Mihtarski for the first time since the break-up with the current manager Warren Feeney. Before the visit of Ludogorets in the last round, “eaglets” are in the penultimate position in the ranking with an asset of 13 score.
The match started with pressure from the guests. In the 8th minute Hengelman went out of the penalty area, to parry Bai, the attacker of “the reds” first reached the ball and transferred the guard to the hosts, but also the door. A little later, in the 19th minute, Caicedo saved the ball and returned it to Kerry, who shoots without delay from twenty meters. Hengelman made the blow difficult, but still the goalkeeper managed to kill.
Five minutes later, Bai found Kerry in front of Pirin's penalty area. The Irishman shoots from volley, but out. In the 41st minute Bai played with Mazika, then he kicks at an angle with his right foot, sending the ball over the crossbar.
After the break, the first position for the second half was in front of Busato. Manolev cross from a corner of the near post in the 57th minute, where Bodurov was, but the defender fired his head past the left post.
The guests took the lead in the 71st minute. Bai then found Muhar in front of the penalty area “eaglets”. The midfielder took control, dribbles around Bodurov and Zanev, then by hitting the ground scored in the lower right corner for 1:0.
In the 82nd minute Hengelman caught a shot of Caicedo, and seconds before the end of regular time Kerry shot out from the edge of the penalty area.
In the five-minute overtime given by the referee, Pirin moved the game to the half of CSKA – Sofia, which turned out to be fatal for the guests.
In the 92nd minute Dyulgerov centered on the right, and Manolev realized with will for the final 1:1. This is Manolev's fourth goal since the beginning of the season in the First League.
