Pirin conceded to Slavia in a First League fourth round clash. “The white ones” took a two-goal lead in the first half, when Jon Baquero (21) and Radoslav Kirilov (29) signed off. In the second half, the home team was down a man, after Julian Popev was expelled (52). However, Preslav Yordanov reduced the score with a penalty (62), but to something more about “eaglets” didn't make it.
The first situation came in the 11th minute, when Galin Ivanov shoots from a long distance, but the orb did not find the outline of the door.
In the 21st minute, the visitors scored the first goal. Toni Tasev crossed sharply in the penalty area and the ball hit Ion Baquero, which from close range did not miss.
The players of Pirin responded with a very serious threat to Svetoslav Vutsov. Kitan Vassilev received a pass on the right flank, then went inside and fired, but right into the keeper's hands.
In the 25th minute again “eaglets” they created another good scoring opportunity. Petar Zanev crosses, where Dulgerov was left alone in a good position, who butted his head, but Vutsov managed to intervene.
Four minutes later “bleach” they got to a second hit. Toni Tasev broke through from the right again and crossed perfectly into the penalty area, where Radoslav Kirilov was this time, who signed against his former team.
In the 41st minute, Martin Smolenski scored a goal, but the ball flew wide of the mark.
In the 52nd minute, Julian Popev was sent off by the head referee Georgi Kabakov. The experienced defender picked up two yellow cards in just six minutes.
In the 58th minute, Radoslav Kirilov was close to his second goal. The captain of the team shoots very hard from close range, but the ball hit the crossbar.
Four minutes later “eaglets” reduced the score. Ertan Tombak committed a foul in the penalty area against Preslav Yordanov. The striker stood behind the ball and with a perfect shot checked Svetoslav Vutsov.
In the 65th minute, Galin Ivanov shot from distance, but after a ricochet the ball went out for a corner, from which nothing interesting followed in front of Yanko Georgiev's door.
By the end of the meeting “eaglets” tried to get to the point, but the players of Zlatomir Zagorcic did perfectly and deservedly left with the three points from Blagoevgrad.
