Pirin continued its rise, after graduation 1:1 when visiting the Black Sea in a match of the 22nd round of the First League. Thus, the Eagles recorded their fifth consecutive match without a loss in the First League and they already have 23 points of the tenth position in the standings. Ivan Tasev, who made his debut as a starter in the First League gave the lead to our team in the 50th minute, and Evgeny Serdyuk equalized in the 70's. The hit of the "sailors" was initially canceled due to an ambush, but after close 6 minutes of examination by VAR was eventually recognized. In the middle of the first part Stilyan Nikolov signed for the Eagles, but his goal was canceled after the intervention of VAR.
Ivaylo Todorov made his debut for Pirin in the First League, and 17-year-old Lazar Erinin made his full debut in our elite division. The two entered at the end of the meeting.
Before the start of the match, the coach of the hosts Ilian Iliev received his award for best coach for 2021 year.
The match started with a little pressure from the hosts, as in the 5th minute Tsvetomir Panov broke well on the left, entered the penalty area and with a diagonal shot found the door of Yanko Georgiev, but the guard managed to kill. In the 11th minute Pablo Garcia could have scored after a corner, but the ball did not hit the door of the guests, after a defender managed to kill.
In the 22nd minute a good goal could have been scored, after Vladislav Vassilev centered softly to Daniel Dimov, who was lurking around the penalty spot. The captain of the "sailors" tried side scissors, but failed to find the ball well and did not hinder Georgiev. A little later, Serdyuk fired from a small angle, but again the Pirin guard was in place.
In the 26th minute with his first position Pirin scored. After a direct free kick Stilyan Nikolov lifted the ball and headed in from close range. Immediately after the goal, however, the side judge ruled an ambush, and then followed a long check of the situation by the VAR. In the end, however, the hit was canceled.
By the end of the half, the Black Sea continued its pressure, but failed to seriously threaten the door of the guests. Thus, both teams withdrew with a result 0:0 on vacation.
Pirin opened the scoring in the 50th minute, when in a counterattack Stanislav Kostov released a good pass, with which he tore the defense of the "sailors", finding Ivan Tasev, who was left alone against the goalkeeper Ivan Dyulgerov and scored with an elegant blow to the ground.
In the 70th minute Sula passed to Evgeniy Serdyuk, who scored at close range for 1:1. However, the side referee had raised the flag for an ambush and so the hit was not initially detected.. This was followed by a 6-minute review of the situation by the VAR, after which the goal was finally conceded and the hosts equalized.
A 10-minute extension was given at the end of the meeting, but the result was never changed.
On Monday, 14 March, Pirin meets Slavia in a match of the 23rd round of the First League.
