The youth development system of FC Pirin starts its reconstruction today. The Eagles now have two new executives who will have the primary job of updating and turning the club’s youth development system into a modern and exciting Academy.

The new Pirin Academy will be headed by the young specialist Radostin Alexandrov. He is part of the new wave of young coaches who bring with them a new kind of expertise needed for the better development of Bulgarian football in general. Alexandrov graduated from the Bulgarian Coaching School with an UEFA A license and has acquired dozens of qualifications and diplomas from the best European football academies, including the Coerver system, which was already introduced in Pirin. He has completed internships in teams such as Leicester, Barcelona, Espanyol, Atalanta and more. He worked as an analyst at BFU, a coach in Beroe, and until recently he was head of the Spartak 1919 private Academy in Pleven.
Along with Alexandrov, the FC Pirin Academy will also have the extensive experience of the Northern Irish specialist Stephen Hamilton. He will hold the position of Head of youth development, including with the future women’s team and academy, which is about to be launched soon. His main task will be to structure the new Academy on the basis of modern technological and practical methods that will facilitate the work of coaches and staff at the club. Hamilton has extensive experience mainly in various academies in the US and Northern Ireland.
Very soon, an official press conference and presentation of the new project for the future Academy of FC Pirin Blagoevgrad will be held at Hristo Botev Stadium.
