Pirin manager Warren Feeney shared his expectations for the upcoming match of the 1/16 finals of the Bulgarian Cup tournament against Beroe. The match is on Wednesday, October 21, at 5:30 pm at Hristo Botev Stadium in Blagoevgrad.
“We have a very difficult match ahead of us. For me, Beroe is in the top 3 of football in Bulgaria. We respect this rival like all our other rivals. They are a very fast and well-prepared team. They always try to play good football. We are confident in our capabilities.
The match is at home, which means we will have support. I hope we play a good match. Friday’s victory brought us fantastic emotions at the end, but as my assistant and I told the players on the training ground on Monday – it’s over. A new match is coming, we have a new task. I hope that we will perform at a level against Beroe. Footballers do not need additional motivation, because the fact that we face a team from a higher level is enough to motivate them. We have a plan for the match and we will implement it. It is good that we will not have such great tension. I think it will be a good match and the boys will enjoy it as well as our fans. The hopes are related to achieving a good result. The footballers train well and are in a great mood. We have no fresh injury problems. Everyone is ready and looking forward to face Beroe,” said Warren Feeney.
